Energy Efficiency Program Transition

April 21, 2021

New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) will be transitioning some of their existing building programs and rebates after June 30th to become the responsibility of utilities. This includes Direct Install from NJCEP.

New Jersey's Clean Energy Program will continue accepting submissions and applications for their existing building programs up until June 30th.

As long as you have a project submitted and approved by the June 30th cutoff, the NJCEP will still honor your project. Meaning, installations, and installations only, will continue past the June 30th cut-off.

Donnelly Energy is continuing to promote and qualify Direct Install projects and NJ SmartStart Buildings® rebates up until June 30th, and will complete approved installations. Sign up for a free energy assessment today!

To our valued customers and friends,

New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program (NJCEP) has officially launched its Energy Efficiency Program Transition page, detailing the next generation of energy efficiency programs for the state of New Jersey. (Click here to view.)

This is in response to the Clean Energy Act, as New Jersey’s investor-owned gas and electric utility companies will now be required to reduce their customers’ use of gas and electricity by set percentages over time. Utilities will be managing and delivering their own efficiency programs directly to their customers.

Direct Install from NJCEP will be coming to an end in June 2021, but to reiterate, similar Direct Install programs will soon emerge that are run directly through the state’s public utilities like PSE&G, New Jersey Natural Gas, Rockland Electric Company, and more.

As a top-performing contractor for the Direct Install program, it has always been our priority to be as informative and transparent with our customers as possible. While we're sad to see the NJCEP's Direct Install program go, we're still very much hopeful and ready for New Jersey to meet its big clean energy goals.

The Donnelly Energy team will continue to actively work with and promote Direct Install from NJCEP up until the program ends, and will assist our customers with the transition process. Sign up for a free energy assessment today!

Be sure to check out the Energy Efficiency Program Transition page often, as they will be providing updates including announcing when new programs launch. We will also be sure to keep you updated on the latest and greatest energy efficiency programs that become available throughout the state. We’re still here and ready when you are!

The future may be different but we promise it's still bright...and that we'll still be the same Donnelly Energy.

*Municipalities, Counties, K-12 school districts, Urban Enterprise Zones and Opportunity Zones, and designated Affordable Housing properties are now eligible for up to 80% off Direct Install from NJCEP projects.
