Donnelly Energy successfully executed a significant LED lighting upgrade at William Paterson University’s Wightman Stadium, marking a key achievement in our partnership with the Wayne university under PSE&G’s Direct Install Program. Initially, the stadium was equipped with 52 outdated 1500W metal halide light fixtures, many of which suffered from reduced brightness and efficiency. Our team conducted an in-depth photometric study to evaluate the lighting distribution and effectiveness, concluding a one-for-one replacement of the fixtures was necessary for optimal lighting.
Collaborating with Hylite™ Lighting, we provided 52 state-of-the-art 750W AEON™ LED Luminaires, effectively cutting the stadium’s energy consumption by over 50%. This project stands as Donnelly Energy’s largest stadium upgrade through the Direct Install program, showcasing not only significant energy savings but also improving the stadium’s aesthetics and visibility during nighttime events. Vice President Doug Gehlbach, an alumni of William Paterson, expressed personal satisfaction with the project’s success, highlighting its impact on both the university and the local community.

The carbon emissions this project reduces are equal to 6.9 garbage trucks of waste recycled instead of being landfilled!
