GOOD NEWS: COMMUNITY BASED DC-FAST CHARGER GRANTS COMING SOON
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) recently announced its latest round of competitive grants for the It Pay$ to Plug In program: $4 million towards installing public Direct Current (DC) Fast Chargers in community settings.
Community locations are defined as general public places where people live and work. Examples include, but are not limited to, town centers, commercial areas, retail centers, and multi-unit dwellings.
This is a great opportunity for public and private entities looking to adopt electric vehicle charging infrastructure and are willing to provide 24/7, all-year-round access to the members of their community!
Note: this competitive grant can be in combination with funding from EV programs run by the utilities!
