This gathering includes leaders in the sustainability movement representing state agencies, academic institutions, businesses, and the 470 New Jersey municipalities participating in Sustainable Jersey.

Integrating Electric Vehicles into the Municipal Fleet

Electric vehicles (EVs) are available in multiple vehicle classes to serve numerous municipal needs. EVs have lower O&M costs, reduce GHG emissions, and improve local air quality, particularly when they replace diesel vehicles. This session will emphasize charging infrastructure considerations, the importance of engaging with the utility company early in the process, and planning to implement ‘managed charging’ schedules to reduce overall electricity costs.

NJ Renewable & Energy Efficiency Programs for Municipalities

This session is produced by New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program and is open to all conference attendees. Learn how municipalities can receive a free energy audit and use energy efficiency incentive programs to improve their facilities in new construction and major renovation projects. Discover how to implement renewable energy technologies and enhance building resiliency.

Power of a Plan: Navigating Community Energy Planning Initiatives
