Donnelly Energy is looking to hire a sales representative (energy advisor) to join our team!
This would be a full-time position based throughout New Jersey, with frequent travel for prospecting in our main county territories (but not limited to): Morris, Passaic, Burlington, Hunterdon, Monmouth, and Middlesex Counties. Having a reliable vehicle is a requirement.
Position Overview
We are looking for hungry, sales-driven individuals who will be dedicated to generating and nurturing a portfolio of new customers for our work within PSE&G’s Direct Install Program.
This in-person position entails driving to businesses, giving customers a program overview, conducting onsite and non-invasive energy assessments of the building(s), and then proposing and selling the project to the prospective customer. The position requires walking buildings as large as 200,000 square feet, climbing ladders to enter accessible roofing areas (with safely measured precautions), and entering basement/attic-type areas.
Qualified candidates are well-organized individuals with a background in sales and a proven track record of closing deals. They should enjoy speaking to a variety of new people on a daily basis and be comfortable navigating buildings to conduct the energy assessment (rooftops, basements, and smaller areas in some instances.)
Familiarity with either lighting or HVAC field is preferred, but not required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining quarterly and yearly high-volume sales quotas to meet internal and programmatic needs.
- Driving to businesses to either conduct new business prospecting or complete visual energy audits with distant supervision.
- Reporting to team associate(s) in regard to scheduling daily audits, inputting building reports, uploading photos, and discussing full details of site visits.
- Generates energy assessment proposals and presents them to the customer in a timely fashion.
Requirements:
- Must have a reliable vehicle
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. (A positive attitude is a plus!)
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

- Above-average communication and interpersonal skills
- High energy and action-oriented, with a proactive approach to program-solving
- Bi-lingual a plus
- Interest in environmentalism, sustainability, and clean energy is a bonus

This would be a full-time position based out of our Wayne office, with frequent travel to prospective clients throughout New Jersey.
Position Overview
We are looking for a professional engineer l who will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing various energy efficiency and construction-related projects and solutions.
Job Responsibilities may include:
- Design and Development: Conceptualize, plan, and create engineering designs, specifications, and prototypes for new products, systems, or structures.
- Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis, simulations, and calculations to ensure the feasibility, safety, and efficiency of engineering solutions.
- Project Management: Manage projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, resource allocation, scheduling, and coordination of team members or departments.
- Testing and Validation: Design and oversee testing procedures to validate the functionality and reliability of designs, making necessary adjustments based on test results.
- Documentation: Create comprehensive technical documentation, including drawings, reports, and manuals, to convey design specifications and guidelines to stakeholders.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that engineering projects comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and codes.
- Problem Solving: Identify and address technical challenges and obstacles that arise during the design and development phases.
- Client or Stakeholder Interaction: Communicate with clients, stakeholders, and management to understand project requirements, provide progress updates, and address any concerns.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical)
- Valid Professional Engineering (PE) license in New Jersey
- Computer Software Capable (for example: MathCAD, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
