Donnelly Energy helps small businesses throughout New Jersey become more energy efficient in the lighting, HVAC, and commercial refrigeration categories as a participating contractor for the Direct Install program run by all of the public energy utilities in New Jersey. Donnelly Energy is looking to hire a Sales Energy Auditing Intern to help support the team this summer.
This would be a part-time or full-time paid Internship based throughout New Jersey, with frequent travel for prospecting in our program county territories: Morris, Passaic, Burlington, Hunterdon, Monmouth, and Middlesex Counties. Having a reliable vehicle is a requirement.
Position Overview
We are looking for hungry, dynamic individuals who will be dedicated to educating and evaluating new customers for our work within the various Direct Install Programs across the Garden State. This internship entails driving to businesses, educating customers on the program overview, and conducting onsite and non-invasive energy audits/assessments of the building(s).
The intern will be recording all lighting, HVAC, and boilers on energy audits. The position requires walking buildings as large as 200,000 square feet, climbing ladders to enter accessible roofing areas (with safely measured precautions) and entering basement/attic type areas.
Qualified candidates are eager to go learn about energy efficiency and clean energy initiatives, enjoy speaking to a variety of new people on a daily basis, and are comfortable navigating buildings to conduct the audits (rooftops, basements, and smaller areas in some instances.
