Energy Action Month

September 16, 2021

October is  Energy Action Month! This month serves as a reminder of the importance of energy, environmental well-being, and sustainability throughout the country. By becoming aware of our energy and water usage, we can work on all levels to take the right conservation and efficiency actions.

Kick things off by participating in Energy Efficiency Day (#EEDay2021) on Wednesday, October 6th! EE Day is where advocates come together to promote the benefits of becoming energy efficient on a grander scale. (Although energy efficiency should be year-round).

Donnelly Energy is on the list!

Join us by signing your name on the Energy Efficiency Day list and finding out ways you can take action by visiting https://www.energyefficiencyday.org/. Share your tips and tricks on social media - spread the word!

If this is your first time hearing about Energy Action Month and you're unsure of the steps to becoming energy efficient, we've got you covered.

STEP 1: SIGN UP FOR A PROFESSIONAL ENERGY AUDIT/ASSESSMENT

The best way to become aware of your energy usage, whether it's for your home or your business, is to sign up for a professional audit from a reputable company (like us, although we prefer the term assessment)!

residential energy audit is a top-to-bottom report that typically covers your homes;

  • health and safety (carbon monoxide levels, moisture, and indoor air quality problems)
  • overall comfort level
  • air sealing opportunities
  • Insulation levels
  • HVAC system efficiency
  • domestic hot water system efficiency

commercial energy audit is a detailed inspection and analysis of how energy flows in a building. Think of it as the who, what, what, when, and how of the electricity being used in a commercial facility (both interior and exterior). Part of the audit includes an analysis of the building's utility bills and recommendations on energy conservation.

(If you have a commercial building in New Jersey, you can sign up for a free energy assessment with us! Click here for our online calendar.)

STEP 2: BECOME ENERGY EFFICIENT

Becoming aware of your energy usage is the first step - the next is taking action!

Donnelly Energy provides their customers will a detailed breakdown of every single energy-efficient upgrade opportunity available to them, as well as the best utility or state-run incentive program that can help cover the cost of an upgrade.

We also handle your energy efficiency installation project from start to finish, making it as easy as possible for commercial customers to make the switch to using cleaner energy.

New energy efficiency and Direct Install programs are beginning to ramp up throughout New Jersey, and we can't wait to help businesses "take energy action".

Happy Energy Action Month!
